Established in 1972, the Pražák Quartet has gained attention for its musical virtuosity and for its place in preserving the unique Czech quartet tradition. As one of today’s preeminent international chamber ensembles, the Quartet shares its cultural heritage with music by Czech composers Franz Xaver Richter, Leoš Janáček, and Antonín Dvořák. The Pražák has been at home on music stages worldwide. They are regular guests in the major European musical capitals – Prague, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan, Madrid, London, Berlin, Munich – and in cities across Canada and the United States.
